Realme, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced that it will unveil the new Realme GT 3 mobile phone on February 28th, which is expected to feature a remarkable 240W charging function. While the company has kept the details about the device under wraps, Realme has recently shared a design teaser, which suggests that the upcoming phone will be a rebranded version of the Realme GT Neo 5.
To give a sneak peek into the upcoming phone, Realme has released an image of the Realme GT3 240W, which seems to resemble the black variant of the GT Neo5. The back of the device showcases a triple rear camera with an RGB LED rectangle powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip.
The Realme GT Neo5 boasts a 4600mAh battery, which the company claims has 60 multi-layer protection. What’s interesting is that it is the first battery that supports over 200W charging and is certified by TUV Rheinland. In theory, the phone can retain 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, which is impressive. With the 240W fast charging feature, users can enjoy a 2-hour talk time with just 30 seconds of charging. Furthermore, it only takes 80 seconds to charge from 1% to 20%, and reports suggest that it will be fully charged within 10 minutes, making it one of the fastest-charging smartphones in the market.
The Realme GT Neo 5 phone has a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship dual-core, with 16GB+1TB memory. It also features a Tianma 144Hz 1.5K flagship direct screen with T7+ new generation flagship luminescent material, boasting a local peak brightness of 1400nit. The device supports a 144Hz gaming-level high refresh rate, 7-speed intelligent dynamic refresh rate, 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, and 5000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, making it an ideal choice for gamers and movie buffs alike.
It is worth noting that there is also a 150W model of the Realme GT Neo 5 phone, which comes with a bigger 5000mAh battery. However, it is still unclear whether it will be launched globally as a GT3 150W version, leaving Realme enthusiasts eagerly waiting for further announcements from the company.
