Recently, ChatGPT launched by OpenAI quickly became popular after its launch, and various technology giants announced their entrance, which shows that the competition in the field of artificial intelligence has become increasingly heated.
Now, that intense competition has spooked Google co-founder Sergey Brin, who stepped down from his management role at Alphabet in 2019.
Earlier this year, Brin asked Google for access to the code and data it uses to train its natural language chat AI, called LaMDA.
Embarrassingly, Brin’s departure was not welcomed at Google, with one Googler commenting, “Please fix what’s wrong with Google first,” and another saying, “Talk to us first before you look at the code.”
LaMDA is short for “LanguageModel for Dialogue Applications,” a Google model announced in 2021 that analyzes natural human language and identifies the commands it contains.
Earlier, Google released a Bard for ChatGPT that was based on the LaMDA model behind it.
