Xiaomi announced that they will launch the Mi 13 Pro series globally at the Mobile World Congress 2023 on February 26th. The company has also revealed plans to launch a new Xiaomi TV Stick 4K on February 14th
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is set to feature 4K resolution and support for 4K HDR content. The device will come equipped with a remote control that includes hotkeys for popular OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney Plus Hotstar. The remote will also feature voice control through Google Assistant.
The compact and portable design of the TV Stick 4K includes support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos content. It will run on the Xiaomi Patchwall user interface, built on the Android TV operating system, with the ability to download third-party apps from the Google Play Store.
Powered by an undisclosed quad-core processor, the TV Stick 4K will allow for direct casting from a smartphone to the TV. The previous version of the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K, released in December 2021, offers access to over 400,000 movies and shows and 7,000 apps and games from the Google Play Store. It is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A35 CPU, Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage.
With Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, the device runs on the Android TV 11-based Patchwall UI. Video decoding is supported for AV1, VP9, H.265, H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-1, and the device also supports Dolby Vision content and Dolby Atmos DTS HD sound. The Bluetooth remote includes hotkeys for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Assistant, and Patchwall, as well as back, home, volume control, and power keys.
