After the Nothing Phone (1) was the first to get Google’s Personal Safety feature, Google has announced that it will open up the feature to more Android models such as SONY Xperia, vivo and its sub-brand iQOO via an Android 13 update.
Google Personal Safety, previously exclusive to Pixel phones, is an emergency rescue app launched by Google in 2021 with features such as car crash detection, location search in case of an emergency, and crisis alerts.
Users can add/edit important medical information, assign emergency contacts, get alerts of nearby crises, and on some devices even ask for help when a car accident is detected.
