Vivo introduced Vivo S15 series of models in May this year, with the first Snapdragon 870 peak version, which has been popular with many users since its release. After a gap of nearly half a year, vivo S16 series, a new generation model of the series, will also be introduced, and there have been revelations about the phone.
Digital blogger @Digital Chat Site revealed today that vivo S16 series consists of three models with Samsung Exynos 1080, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and Mediatek Dimensity 8200 chips, and compared them with OPPO Reno 9 series and Honor 80 series.
According to previous revelations, vivo S16e, S16 and S16 Pro models all support 80W fast charge, which is expected to be released in early January. In addition, vivo S16 will offer 8+256GB versions, while vivo S16 Pro is only available in 12+256GB / 12+512GB versions.
In addition, digital blogger @jiji Asen also released two simulations of the vivo S16 series.
In the rendering, it looks like the new phone is still a continuation of the previous generation’s family design.
iGeekphone has learned that Mediatek just released Dimensity 8200 processor on December 8. The processor is an upgrade of the Dimensity 8100 with improved technology, CPU frequency, APU, and GPU.
Using TSMC’s next-generation 4nm manufacturing process, Dimensity 8200 features a 1+3+4 architecture, consisting of four Cortex A78s with a maximum dominant frequency of 3.1GHz and four energy efficient core A55s with a dominant frequency of 2.0GHz.
Compared to Dimensity 8100, Dimensity 8200 features a technology upgrade, improved CPU frequency, and integrated Mali-G610 GPU and APU 580, which improve energy efficiency by 8% and 13%, respectively. The Dimensity 8200 supports FHD + resolution displays up to 180Hz and WQHD displays up to 120Hz.
Dimensity 8200 is also equipped with Mediatek’s Imagiq 785 image processor, a 14-bit HDR ISP that provides support for up to 320MP main cameras, 4K 60Hz video recording, three-camera, and dual-exposure HDR cameras.
