Cube today officially announced its new tablet, iPlay 50 Pro, which will be equipped with Mediatek’s 6-nanometer Helio G99 chip, positioning as an entry-level performance tablet.
No further information about the tablet is available yet, but the renderings appear to have a very narrow bezel and a straight screen. We’ll have to wait to see how it works.
I believe you are all familiar with Helio G99. The chip is based on a 6nm process and has eight cores arranged according to a “2 + 6” scheme, with the Cortex-A76 reaching peak frequencies of 2.2GHz and the Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz. Integrated MALI-G57 MC2 GPU, providing 2133MHz LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash support.
The chip is 30% more energy efficient than the G96. This is a product made using 6 nanometers instead of 12 nanometers.
