Xiaomi officially announced today that since November 28, 2022, due to the adjustment of development demand, Mi 11 youth edition will stop the development version of the internal beta, the development version of the public beta will remain.
Launched in December 2021, the MI 11 Youth Edition is powered by Snapdragon 778G processor and priced from 1,999 yuan. It has a built-in 4,250mah battery, is compatible with QC4+ fast charge protocol, and is preloaded with Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 operating system.
Starting with MIUI based on Android 13, MIUI will focus on both “development” and “official” versions. The MIUI development release will continue to be updated weekly, and the official release will be updated based on user usage.
Xiaomi also promised to gradually switch between development and official versions without data erasure.

New features and optimizations will be released as development versions, iteratively updating the product experience, functionality and stability before being released as official versions, Xiaomi said. The new development version will recruit more users who actively participate in the joint construction, and the internal test score will also be adjusted along with the development version to join the Xiaomi community growth system. Xiaomi will issue a “commemorative virtual Medal for the development version of the beta” to users who have been supporting MIUI for a long time.
