Xiaomi officially announced that due to the major Android version upgrade, the Redmi K40S will suspend the release of the MIUI development version based on Android 12 from September 23, 2022.
At the same time, Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Edition, Redmi Note 11T Pro, and Redmi Note 11T Pro+ have suspended the release of the MIUI development version due to the problem of entering the system abnormally after restarting.
The announcement pointed out that the MIUI development version test based on Android 13 for the Redmi K50 Pro has come to an end. Xiaomi expects to fully push the MIUI development version based on Android 13 for this model around December, and users participating in this internal test can upgrade directly through OTA.
According to Xiaomi’s official announcement, from October 31, 2022, the following models will stop the public beta of the development version :
Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Edition, Redmi K30S Extreme Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro, Redmi K30 Extreme Edition, Redmi Note 9
In addition, Xiaomi officially reminded that if users encounter the problem of “forcibly stopping using the device for 20 minutes” during use, they can enter the settings – screen time management home page – slide to the bottom – turn off the device’s continuous use reminder, Xiaomi said that it will be in the follow-up version fixes this problem.
