Lenovo is one of the big companies in China, with a big list of mobiles, tablets and other gadgets. The same is valid and for Xiaomi. On august Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with a MTK cpu and very good specs. Now Lenovo comes up with it competitor, the Lenovo P2, which comes with a very big battery of 5100mAh. The P2 is the successor to the P1 and P1m. If someone checks the specs that accompany the P2, you could say that is almost a flagship.
Design
The P2 looks as a well-designed mobile and not that thick as one could think with the battery that has. It comes with thickness of 8.3mm and 177g as weight, so the P2 is as thin and weights close to a smartphone that has a smaller battery like the well known Redmi Note 4, which has a 4,100mAh battery which is 8.4mm thick and weights 175g. The Lenovo P2 is made out of metal and comes with a matte finish that gives a solidity and improves grip over it. Under the screen we can find the fingerprint scanner which serves and as home button. The scanner works very well and accurate. The power button and the volume buttons are found on the right side as usual. On the left side we will find a battery saver button, a rather rare button in smartphones, which showed up for the first time at P1 and P1m smartphones.
Display
The Lenovo P2 comes with has a 5.5-inch display and 1920 x 1080p screen resolution. The quality of the colors is very good, rich, which makes you feeling good when watching a HD movie in your mobile. When the mobile is used outside, you can see easily what is showing. There is an option in the mobile that you can change the color display from Normal color mode to the Vibrant mode. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5.5 Inch 2.5D Screen and 1920 x 1080 Pixel screen resolution.
Software
The Lenovo P2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Vibe UI out of the box. The interface has a lot of option to check and change in your mobile, in order to react as you would like. IF you like the Lenovo mobiles, you will get used to it right a way. If you come from a Xiaomi mobile, it will look more plain to your eye. Xiaomi runs MIUI 8.0 based on Android 6.0.
Hardware
The Lenovo P2 is equipped with the octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, when the RN4 comes with the deca core Helio X20 MTK6797 clocked at 2.1GHz. For memory we will find the P2 to has 4GB RAM, which is more than enough to play games or work with heavy apps. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has only 3GB RAM. For internal storage the mobile is equipped with 32GB that can be expanded up to 1TB (!!!) through microSD cards. I’m sure the number looks enormous, specially if you compare it with the Redmi Note 4 that offers only 64GB storage. Of course the big highlight of the mobile is the enormous 5100mAh battery, which can give 2-3 days of life to your mobile easily. Now if you want to get more from your battery, don’t forget there is a battery saver button that will eventually give you some more hours of life. When the switch is activated it restricts access to basic tasks such as calling, messaging, music playback, calculator and improves battery backup quite considerably.
Camera
The Lenovo P2 has for main camera on the rear side of the mobile, a 13 MP which works very well, even in low light. Low-light shots look good, but even with slight zoom, the image begins to look blurry. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has for main camera a 13 MP PDAF and at the front we find a 5 MP.

Conclusion
The Lenovo P2 looks to be a very good mobile. It has a premium design, a rich display, a powerful processor and a enormous battery that can give you many days of use. If we compare it to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the Lenovo has better battery, much better internal storage through the MicroSD. The final choice is yours…what shall you choose!?
