Infinix, a subsidiary of Transsion, launched the Infinix Note 12i mobile phone in Kenya as early as May, equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 chip and a 90Hz LCD screen. Now, Infinix has launched the Note 12i 2022 with different screens, designs, and memory options.
The Kenyan version of the Note 12i features a 6.82-inch HD+ 90Hz LCD screen, while the Note 12i 2022 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ resolution AMOLED display. Infinix didn’t mention the refresh rate of the Note 12i 2022 screen, which is expected to be 60Hz.
In terms of memory configuration, the Infinix Note 12i is equipped with 4GB+128GB storage, while the Note 12i 2022 has two options, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. Both smartphones support storage and virtual memory expansion.
The Note 12i 2022 is 7.8mm thick, which is 0.5mm thinner than the Note 12i. The Note 12i 2022 is also lighter at 188 grams versus 198 grams. In addition, the design of its camera module is also different. The Note 12i 2022 has five circles on the back (one for the flash, three for the camera, and the fifth just for symmetry), and the Note 12i has four circles.
However, the Note 12i 2022 has the same camera setup as the Note 12i, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera and an AI camera, and a front-facing 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Other highlights of the Infinix Note 12i 2022 include an Helio G85 chip, an Android 12-based XOS 10.6 system, and a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging. The smartphone supports side-mounted fingerprint recognition, a 6-layer 3D graphene cooling system, and dual speakers with DTS audio. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port on the body.
The Infinix Note 12i 2022 mobile phone 6GB+128GB model is priced at IDR 2,299,000 (about RMB 1,073) and is available in three colors. The price of the 4GB+64GB version is unknown.
