ASUS launched the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro in July this year, now the company has just launched the latest two new models of the series – Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, which run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset. ASUS said this is to provide users with better choices, but the new model will not be available in the North American market.
The new ROG Phone 6D mainly uses the Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which uses ASUS’s GameCool 6 CPU cooling solution. In addition, the Ultimate version has an additional function, the AeroActive Portal, which can be combined with AeroActive fans to work together for better cooling.
According to leakster @Digital Chat Station, the new ROG Phone 6D will launch the Dimensity 9000 + version, the frequency identification is 1*3.35GHz X2+3*3.2GHz A710+4*1.8GHz A510, GeekBench 5 single-core The score is 1.4K, and the multi-core score is 4.6K+.
In addition, the other aspects of the two new phones are the same as the ROG Phone 6. Both phones have a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, support for HDR10+, cover Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and support IPX4, It offers dual speakers, a 3.5mm jack, a side-mounted USB-C port, and a huge 6000mAh battery inside that supports 65W USB PD charging.
The Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate will come in a new matte color that Asus calls Space Gray. While the 6D is similar in weight to other phones in the series, the 6D Ultimate will be 8 grams heavier than all other models, and the 6D Ultimate will also feature the 6 Pro’s ROG Vision display on the back. It’s worth mentioning that accessories for the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are also compatible with the new 6D and 6D Ultimate.
The new model is also equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 SSD storage. The 6D Ultimate does not provide the 18GB memory of the 6 Pro. Asus explained that “the maximum capacity of LPDDR5X is 16GB.” Another change in the Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is the GPU. The previous models used a Qualcomm Adreno 730, and the new phone will use the ARM Mali-G710 GPU.
The camera part remains the same, the rear main camera is a 50MP 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0μm pixels and an f/1.9 lens, supplemented by a 13MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro camera. Selfie The camera is a 12MP sensor.
Interestingly, ASUS also launched the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition, which features a new RGB logo on the back of the device, which is based on the Batman badge, as well as custom wallpapers and icon styles, animations, sound effects, and more. Asus has also bundled a ton of accessories, including an interesting bat signal projector that projects the famous bat signal onto nearby surfaces, and a hard-shell case for carrying your device and accessories. Officials say the phone has a special finish that, when illuminated by light, mimics the cloudy night sky pierced by searchlights.
The ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor in the North American market and a Dimensity 9000+ processor in other markets, which is identical to the ROG Phone 6/6D except for the design changes. Asus has not announced the price of the device in North America, but the version with the Dimensity 9000+ will cost 1199 euros.
It is reported, that the standard version of the Asus ROG Phone 6D is priced at £799 in the UK and is expected to be launched in the next few weeks, and the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is priced at £1199, with an AeroActive fan included.
