Chuwi has now presented a dozen tablets under the HiPad name, almost all of which can be classified in the budget price range. So far, this has always meant that you can only watch content from Amazon Prime, Netflix, and other streaming providers in SD resolution. The reason for this is Google’s Widevine DRM system – HD streaming is not possible without certification. Among other things, Chuwi has taken on this typical point of criticism with its latest tablet. The Chuwi HiPad Max is said to cost around 200 euros and at this price offers a large 2K display, a Qualcomm processor, Android 12, and of course the HD streaming just mentioned.
Design
All we know is that the tablet is said to be 8 millimeters thick and weighs 440 grams. The case is kept in a dark gray in the pictures – unfortunately, it is still unclear whether there will be other colors. What we do know, however, is that the screen on the front is 10.36 inches and a front camera sits above the display. There are also four loudspeakers on the back, which are supposed to ensure good stereo sound. The camera is housed in a discreet element and USB-C is used for charging.
The display is at least as important. 2,000 x 1,200 pixels are distributed over a diagonal of 10.36 inches – resulting in 225 pixels per inch. That’s a good value for a tablet! The refresh rate is probably 60 Hertz and the maximum brightness is 400 lux.

Hardware
Instead of a slow and outdated chip from MediaTek, Chuwi uses the current mid-range processor Snapdragon 680 from Qualcomm in the HiPad Max, which is also used in the Redmi Note 11, among others. That doesn’t mean an abundance of performance, but a smooth system is more than conceivable because of this and also because of the 8 gigabytes of RAM. Meanwhile, the memory measures a solid 128 gigabytes and can be expanded by a maximum of 512 gigabytes via a microSD card.
Features
A battery with 7,000 mAh is on board so that the tablet does not run out of juice too quickly. According to the manufacturer, that’s enough for 700 hours in standby; 33 hours of music playback, or 6 hours of video streaming. It is charged via USB-C, and Quick Charge 3.0 from Qualcomm is supported. However, it is not yet known what the power of the included power supply is. Let’s talk about connectivity – GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi in dual-band, and LTE including dual SIM. That sounds great so far. The cameras are 5 megapixels (selfie) and 8 megapixels (main camera). Android 12 is used as the operating system.
Conclusion
Chuwi HiPad Max is a great overall package, at least on paper. The processor ensures performance, enough memory is also available. So with 8GB RAM and a low price, this could turn into a very useful small Android laptop. You can Buy it from Aliexpress in Flash Sale at the lowest price.
