At IFA2022, Lenovo announced and showed off the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 notebook, according to NoteBookCheck.
ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 is powered by the 9W model of the 12-generation Core U Series, with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD.
For the screen, the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 has a 16.3-inch OLED screen with a 4:3 ratio, a resolution of 2,560 x 2,024, a 400 nite SDR brightness, and a 600 nite HDR brightness. With a 100% DCI-P3 gamut, the screen bezel is only 8mm. By attaching the keyboard to the bottom half of the screen, it can become a regular 12-inch laptop.
Elsewhere, the new ThinkPad X1 Fold comes standard with a 48 Wh battery, a 65 W power adapter, two Lightning 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and a nano-SIM card slot. The X1 Fold of the new ThinkPad weighs 1.28kg, and the total weight with the stand and keyboard is 1.9kg.

The next-generation ThinkPad X1 Fold is expected to begin shipping in November 2022, starting at $2,499.
