Qualcomm’s official website has accidentally revealed that the Snapdragon Summit event time is from November 14 to November 17, 2022, and it is likely that this is also the time when the company will launch the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
Although this event update line was removed from the website shortly after, but if the update status is correct, the launch time of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 this year will be held earlier than usual (usually at the beginning of January).
Previously, information about the “unusual” 1 + 2 + 2 + 3 CPU configuration that Qualcomm may equip on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has also been leaked, including a Cortex-X3 core (codename Makalu-Elp) ), two Cortex-A720 cores (codename Makalu), two A710 cores (Matterhorn) and three A510 cores (Klein-R1).
Previously, Qualcomm and Xiaomi had both officially promoted the launch, but Motorola released it ahead of schedule and grabbed the “real launch”.
This afternoon, Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo China’s mobile phone business department, forwarded this revelation with a smug expression, perhaps implying that Motorola is going to grab the first launch of the new platform this time.
This is also considered the strongest advanced teaser, which started three months before the new product was released. Just this month, Motorola just released dual flagships equipped with Snapdragon 8+: moto Razr 2022, moto X30 Pro.
The prices of these two products are also the same level and the same type of “price butcher”. It is expected that the price of the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 model will still be very competitive, which is worth looking forward to.
