The Redmi Note series are models that are and powerful and not that expensive. They are mobiles for everyone that wants to have a very good affordable mobile. Today Xiaomi revealed the latest model of the Redmi Series, the Xiaomi Redmi note 4 in India with Snapdragon 625 SoC.
Don’t forget that due to a conviction from the High Course of India some years back, for patent violation, Xiaomi cannot sell mobiles with MTK socket in India. So had to appear a Snapdragon version of Redmi Note 4 in order not to loose this market. Redmi Note 3 when appeared in India became the best-selling smartphone. Xiaomi managed to sell 3.6M units in 2016. Let us see what the Snapdragon version has.
Redmi Note 4 comes with a premium metal body with anodized high-gloss aluminum lines. The Snapdragon version has smaller bezels from the MTK version, something that you can see immediately at the pictures given from Xiaomi. The design is very symmetrical, very slim and sleek. The thinnest point of the mobile is just 5mm! Comes with a 5.5 inch display Full HD with tapered edges and 2.5D curved glass.
The new Redmi Note 4 as we said comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, the first chipset in its class to use 14nm FinFET technology for ultra-high power efficiency—25% longer battery life than Redmi Note 3—and unprecedented thermal performance. For the graphics, the Adreno 506 GPU is more than capable of doing all the hard work. The new Redmi Note 4 comes in 3 variants in terms of RAM and internal storage. There will be a 2GB RAM/32GB ROM version, a 3GB RAM/32GB ROM version and a 4GB RAM/64GB ROM version. Of course and the new Redmi supports up to 128GB microSD expandable storage via 3-choose-2 SIM tray.
The Redmi Note 4 features for main camera a 13MP CMOS sensor with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and BSI (1.12 micron pixels). At the front we can find a 5MP camera, with f/2.0 aperture. The mobile features dual SIM, dual standby (nano and micro SIM) with LTE which is fully compatible with India’s LTE networks and VoLTE, including Band 5 for indoor calling. It also features rear fingerprint sensor and IR remote that supports appliances from thousands of brands in India. The new Redmi Note 4 will have MIUI 8 with a special preview of Android 7.0 Nougat included.
The battery will be a 4100 mAh high-density battery which yields 25% longer battery life than Redmi Note 3 (even though the battery is only 1% bigger). This means at least 2 days of life for the mobile with regular usage.
The new Redmi Note 4 will be available in Dark Grey, Gold, and for the first time, a gorgeously elegant Matte Black (coming real soon). The announced prices in India for the three version are Rs. 9,999 2GB RAM + 32GB Flash; Rs. 10,999 3GB RAM + 32GB Flash; Rs. 12,999 4GB RAM + 64GB Flash (first in India).
