Fiido, a company specializing in the production of electric bikes and scooters, has recently launched the newest Fiido T1 Bicycle. The new bike has a range of up to 150 km on a single charge and a 750W motor, which has a 7-speed drivetrain.
Design
Despite not having rear suspension, the Fiido T1 has front suspension forks, which promise greater balance and comfort, eliminating bumps on the front wheel on more damaged terrain, such as bumpy streets and in the middle of stones. About its material, the frame and the handlebars are made of aluminum alloy, also counting on rubber grips and disc brakes. Weighing 36.2 KG, the new e-bike is 180 cm x 69 cm x 118 cm, where the adjustable seat size can go from 92 cm to 118 cm. For starters, it uses 20″ tires, to make driving more enjoyable. Extras for the Fiido T1 electric bike include: LED display, LED head/tail/brake lights, 3 pedal assist settings, thumb throttle, suspension fork, suspension saddle and seatpost, inline front basket, fender/rack.
Milage
The Fiido T1 electric bike includes a very powerful 750W motor and delivers speeds of up to 40 km/h (25 mph) on throttle only, although I was not able to reach the promised 50 km/h (30 mph). If there’s a discreet unlocking mode that takes you to level 3 (the highest speed mode available), however, 25 mph is already a nice bump over the typical 20 mph speeds we see on Class 2 e-bikes.
Tires
The larger 4″ wide tires on the Fiido T1 electric bike give you the feel of a fat bike with plenty of comfortable rubber and air under you, but they don’t have the same size or sluggishness as a fat 26″ tire. These tires can handle some dirt and grass shortcuts, but they’re optimized for street riding. This is logical. This is a useful electric bike intended for running errands on the rough roads. The hydraulic suspension fork helps improve handling, especially when driving off-road.
Battery
The Fiido T1 electric bike has a giant 48V, 20Ah 960Wh battery and offers a range of 150km (93 miles) unless you go really slow in pedal assist mode, but you definitely get more range than any other e-bike It comes with a typical 48V 14Ah battery. The Fiido T1 electric bike offers about 50% more battery than those e-bikes, which of course means more range. The battery can be removed by opening the seat and flipping it up.
Verdict
The main complaint about the Fiido T1 electric bike was the screen while everything else (despite the battery latch) is actually very good. The value here speaks for itself when comparing the price and features to the rest of the industry. Nor was the FiidoT1 electric bike the best of its kind, but they have always been very good options, well designed, well packaged and excellent in all respects for a mid-priced electric bike.
