Today, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+, manufactured by TSMC, appeared on the GeekBench benchmarking website, with a single-core score of 1311 and a multi-core score of 4070. Compared with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, the Snapdragon 8+ single-core score is slightly better than the Dimensity 9000, but the multi-core score of the Dimensity 9000 is relatively better.
The blogger leaked the news that after the performance mode of the Snapdragon8 Gen+ terminal is turned on, the multi-core performance can still be improved, which can reach around 4200, which is closer to the Dimensity 9000.
It is reported that the maximum frequency of the Cortex-X2 super core of the Snapdragon8 gen+ CPU has been increased to 3.2GHz. While the performance is improved, the power consumption of the Snapdragon8 gen+ has also been greatly optimized. Officially, the CPU power consumption is reduced by about 30% compared with the Snapdragon8, and the GPU power consumption is reduced by up to 30%. The overall power consumption of the platform is reduced by about 15% compared with the Snapdragon8.
Wang Xiang of Xiaomi Group emphasized that the Snapdragon 8 gen+ is by no means a half-generation small upgrade like the previous Snapdragon 888+, but a real experience innovation.
