According to GizChina, Transsion Holdings has been committed to promoting its brands Tecno and Infinix in the global market. So far, these brands have focused on the mid-to-low-end segment of 4G phones. Today, Tecno launched a new mid-range smartphone called “Tecno Pova 3”, which comes with a large 6.9-inch screen and a huge 7000mAh battery. The phone is being sold in the Philippine market and will soon arrive in other markets such as India.
According to the company, users can use the phone for at least two days before needing to recharge. The phone also features several battery enhancements.
The list includes a super power-saving mode and reverses charging, which allows users to charge other devices at a decent 10W charging speed. The phone supports 25W charging speed. That’s not super fast charging on a smartphone with this battery capacity. Tecno also offers a 33W charger.
The Tecno Pova 3 features a 6.9-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. It uses a centered punch hole and has a built-in 8MP selfie camera. In terms of optics, the phone has a 50MP main camera and two 2MP secondary lenses on the rear. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 chip, with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, and also supports micro SD storage expansion.
The phone features stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience. A side fingerprint scanner is supported, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio receiver. The phone is powered by Android 11. Tecno and Infinix had some issues with Android 12.
It is available in three color options, blue, silver, and black. The blue version has lights that can light up to show notifications and calls. The Tecno Pova 3 costs 8,999 Philippine pesos (about $172) with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of capacity, or 9,399 Philippine pesos (around $180) with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage.
