It’s only been a few weeks since OnePlus introduced the Ace model, which will be available on the global market under the name OnePlus 10R. However, there is already speculation about an improved and at the same time modified version of the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition.
The phone was previously seen with pictures in TENAA’s certification database, but now well-known leak Evan Blass has released a new live image of the device on 91mobiles.com.
The image shared by 91mobiles that anticipate the appearance of the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition shows a square photographic module that houses four circles (one simply bears the word “64MP”) and is very reminiscent of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
This similarity of the Racing Edition to the 10 Pro flagship highlights how the OnePlus Ace occupies the place of what should have been called the OnePlus 10R, exactly as predicted by the rumors.
However, the edges also change, which do not seem flat like those of the standard Ace, and the finish of the back cover, which this time offers a new solution, with a homogeneous and opaque gray texture created with particular processing, which gives the idea of a porous material.
To support the 91mobiles leak there are other official images of the device, taken from the database of the certification body for the Indian market TENAA, where the device appeared at the end of April under the initials PGZ110: a sign of an imminent launch.
Now, however, the mysterious smartphone has a precise identity, which was difficult to predict considering the important aesthetic differences with the standard version of the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition.
Thanks to the TENAA listing we know that the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition has a 6.59 ”IPS LCD with FHD + resolution, a triple rear camera setup (64MP + 8MP + 2MP), and a selfie 16MP camera, The exact chipset used by the device has yet to be confirmed, although it is likely that it will be a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage and a 4890mAh battery.
