Google’s new Pixel 6A phone is just around the corner, but it doesn’t seem to support the features of its flagship sibling. According to some new evidence, Pixel 6A doesn’t support “motion mode” photography.
Android developer Kuba Wojciechowski found evidence from the Pixel Tips app that Google won’t support camera motion mode on the Pixel 6A.
In the Pixel Tips app, details about motion patterns are encoded to display on the PIXEL_2021_EXPERIENCE device, which includes the first Tensor processor for the 6A, but specifically excludes the code name “Bluejay.”
The Pixel 6A most likely doesn’t support the Motion mode of the Google Camera app. Sport mode, which debuted on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, creates effects to highlight movement around the subject.

It’s unclear why Google might have excluded sport mode from the Pixel 6A, but it could have something to do with older camera hardware.
