HarmonyOS 2.0.0.216 was released in January for Huawei Mate10 series and has yet to be updated.
However, Huawei has not yet launched the Hongmeng OS mobile phone system in the overseas market, so the old models still run EMUI 12 based on Android. For example, Huawei P50 Pocket of the European version still runs EMUI 12, while Mate 40 series still runs EMUI 11 system. But tablets like MatePad Pro 5G come with HarmonyOS pre-installed.
HuaweiCentral found that the Mate 10 Pro, Huawei’s flagship phone released in 2017, is already available to update the Beta version of EMUI 12, including some markets such as South Africa and Spain.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes with a Hisi Kirin 970 chip, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, 4000mAh battery, a 6-inch screen, and android 8 pre-installed. EMUI 8.0, EMUI 9.0, and EMUI 10.0 have been released before. I missed EMUI 11, but I didn’t expect Huawei to jump to EMUI 12.
Huawei’s EMUI 12 system has been optimized for a number of new features, including user interface (UI) design, animation effects, seamless device flow and other important features. EMUI 12 design reflects the design language of Huawei Hongmeng system, from UI to functions can reflect the similar design.
