On the evening of April 7, blogger @digital chatchat hinted that Redmi has a new snapdragon 8 Plus (Model SM8475) flagship processor on the way, a minor iteration of Redmi K50 series.
Given that the Snapdragon 8 Plus is Qualcomm’s flagship Soc for the second half of the year, that means the Redmi Snapdragon 8 Plus flagship will launch in the second half of the year.
The phone could be a successor to Redmi K50 Pro, possibly named Redmi K50 Pro+.
As the most powerful Redmi flagship ever, one of the biggest highlights is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus flagship processor. This is a more powerful phone chip than qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8, and will be the most powerful performance flagship in the Android camp.
The chip is a “1+3+4” architecture, consisting of the ultra-large Cortex X2, large Cortex A710, and small core Cortex A510, with a 2.99ghz CPU and a slightly upgraded GPU, based on TSMC’s 4nm process.
