After launching its first product, the Nothing Ear (1) headset, Nothing is preparing to enter the smartphone market.
Nothing, an independent brand founded by OnePlus co-founder Pei Yu, revealed in November that it was working on five new products, and it was rumored that one of them would be a smartphone, which could launch in March.
Nothing now announces that it will hold a “The Truth” press conference at 22:00 on March 23rd, Beijing time. The poster of the press conference clearly marks the Qualcomm Snapdragon Logo. It is expected that this Nothing smartphone will also carry a certain snapdragon chip. It will probably be called Nothing Phone and will probably only be available in the Indian market.
In the previous MWC 2022, Pei Yu and Qualcomm CEO Amon discussed a mobile phone, from the picture can be seen the use of gray back cover, camera in the top left corner of the fuselage.
Enrico Salvatori of Qualcomm also posted a photo of himself with Pei Yu at MWC 2022 with the caption “Looking forward to cooperation.”
As early as February 16, Pei yu tweeted “coming back to Android” and received comments from android and Snapdragon official twitter accounts. So we can assume the phone runs on a Snapdragon processor and Android.
