Chinese manufacturer TCL, best known for its smart TV series, today unveiled five new entry-level Android smartphones under its 30 series. Unlike TCL 30 XE 5G and TCL 30 V 5G, which launched for the U.S. market earlier this year, the five new phones focused on the European market, with prices starting from 139 euros to 249 euros.
At the top end of the new lineup is TCL 30 5G, the only new phone that supports 5G. It has a 6.7-inch 1080p OLED water drop display, a 13-megapixel selfie camera, and three rear cameras, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Equipped with a 5,010mah battery and a Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset, it will be available in Europe in April at a price of €249.

Next up is the TCL 30 Plus at €199 and TCL 30 at €179 . Both have the same 6.7-inch display and three-camera setup as the TCL 30 5G, but as the name suggests, they don’t have 5G capabilities. TCL 30 also has a lower-resolution 8-megapixel selfie camera. Both are powered by mediatek Helio G37 processors with 5010mAh batteries and are now available in Europe.
TCL 30 Plus
At the bottom of the lineup are TCL 30 SE at €149 and TCL 30 E at €139 , which have smaller and lower resolution 6.52-inch 720p displays, the poor performance of the Helio G25 processor, and TCL 30 E also lacks a 2-megapixel macro camera found elsewhere in the family. However, both phones will still have 5000mAh batteries, use USB-C instead of the old Micro USB port, and, like the others, will run Android 12. The 30SE is available now, while the 30E will ship in Europe in April.

TCL 30 E
When TCL unveiled its first two series 30 phones in January, it said it planned to release a total of eight phones worldwide during 2022. Seven of those eight phones have now been announced, with only a successor to last year’s TCL 20 Pro still to come.
