This morning, the official preheated poster for the new phone was released, and photos of the real Nubia Z40 Pro were also released for the first time.
Judging from the poster, Nubia Z40 Pro continues the overall shape of the previous generation Z30 Pro. The camera covers 1/3 of the back area, especially one camera with a red circle and a “3.5” beside it, which is very eye-catching.
Nubia Z40 Pro will use the industry’s only custom 35mm main camera, the world’s first combined custom SONY IMX787, which can bring SLR class optical blur, F /1.6 aperture, support OIS optical stabilization, full pixel focus, redefine mobile imaging.
Nubia has previously claimed that the 35mm Master lens reduces distortion by 35 percent, improves light intake by 80 percent and sharpness by 78 percent. It also has OIS optical stabilization plus full-pixel zoom focus, which improves full scene completion by 70 percent.
However, it should be noted that the Z40 uses a three-lens design, which lacks a submerged telephoto lens compared to the Z30 Pro. Submersible telephoto lenses have a more complex structure and a higher cost. Their biggest advantage is that they allow phones to take pictures at a greater distance.
However, since 2022, the flagship phones of phone manufacturers including Xiaomi, RealMe, iQOO, Honor and OnePlus have all cancelled the submersivetelephoto lens without exception.
Xiaomi’s Lu Weibing explained why some mobile phone manufacturers chose to cancel the periscope head in his post as early as last year, saying: Today, when every device is competing for the limited space of a mobile phone, every small space is very valuable.

It’s no surprise that the Nubia Z40 Pro did away with the telephoto lens when everyone is canceling it. This also makes its industry’s only custom 35mm master camera even more unique, looking forward to its image performance.
