Earlier in Mediatek Dimensity 9000 new release conference, Xiaomi Group China president, Redmi brand general manager Lu Weibin announced that Redmi K50 series first equipped with Mediatek Dimensity 9000 processor.
The chip will be in mass production after the Chinese New Year, and it is revealed that the K50 series powered by Breguet 9000 will be available in March.
Mediatek Dimensity 9000 uses TSMC’s 4nm process and is composed of one Cortex-X2 3.05ghz ultra-large core, three Cortex-A710 2.85ghz large core and four Cortex-A510 energy efficiency cores. The comprehensive performance of Dimensity exceeds 1 million points, comparable to qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8.
It is not yet clear which version of Dimensity 9000 will be used by Redmi. According to leaks, Redmi K50 is powered by Snapdragon 870 and the esports version is powered by the Snapdragon 8, leading to speculation that Dimensity 9000 could be used for the K50 Pro and K50 Pro+.

It’s also worth noting that Redmi K50 esports edition will be released in February, with K50 Dimensity 9000 version coming later.
