Asus unveiled several Windows 11 laptops at CES 2022, and the company also announced a powerful new Chromebook at the same time.
Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5601) has a 16-inch display and seems like a very interesting product as Chromebooks go, thanks to its powerful specs.
Chromebook Flip CX5 has a 16-inch full HD display with touch-screen support, a 16:10 aspect ratio and 87% screen share. It has a 360-degree ErgoLift hinge that enables the device to be used in tablet mode.
The device is powered by the latest 12th-generation Intel Core I7 processor and Borry technology, and comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.
It also has a splash-proof backlit keyboard with a 1.4mm keystroke and a numeric keypad on the right. There’s also a large trackpad that measures 5.84 inches diagonally.
In addition, the machine has four Harman Kardon certified speakers. For ports, it comes with two Thunderbolt 4’s, an HDMI 2.0, A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, A 3.5mm headphone jack and A microSD card slot.
IGeekphone has learned that the device has a mil-STD 810H military-standard casing and supports Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. It also has a full HD webcam and a privacy switch that turns the camera off when not in use.

Asus has yet to reveal pricing or exact availability for the Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5601), which is expected to be available in the next few months.
