After a large wave of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship announced, Honor with the first foldable screen debut, recently officially announced the upcoming release of “Magic V“.
It’s no surprise that Magic V will be officially released next month. This morning, the core configuration of the Magic V was also revealed. It’s certainly a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model, and it will be the first snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship with a folding screen and dual screen.
According to the image of the corner revealed in the previous poster, Honor Magic V will be folded left and right, which is basically the same as the previously exposed news.
According to sources, Honor Magic V will have a dual-screen design, with an 8-inch internal foldable home screen and a 6.5-inch external secondary screen. The screen supplier is BOE BOE, and the UTG ultra-thin flexible glass cover master is being tested.
In terms of screen parameters, Honor Magic V will adopt a similar design to Huawei Mate X series. It will use the left and right folding scheme, and will carry a secondary screen on the back to achieve more convenient operation. It does not need to unfold the screen every time, but also can effectively improve the screen life.
It is worth mentioning that the UTG ultra-thin flexible glass cover mentioned in the previous revelation is a new technology. Samsung is also testing the new UTG technology, which is a screen cover technology that can achieve ultra-thin glass cover, which can significantly improve the scratch resistance of the folding screen.

It is also worth noting that, as can be seen from the official poster, the border beside the hinge of Honor Magic V adopts a right angle design, which is very different from the previous folding screen models. It may be able to completely close the border after being expanded, greatly improving the experience of using the folding screen.
