Weibo user @digital Chat today revealed that Xiaomi’s Redmi series will be equipped with a 2K (1440P) resolution screen for the first time.
In a post on Weibo on October 28, the weibo user revealed that Redmi K50 series is not equipped with a 2K screen. The model of the new phone is unknown, but it may be an all-new Redmi line.
Xiaomi’s flagship digital series, models from mi 11 and above, have a 2K resolution screen, while the previous Redmi flagship K40 Pro+ uses a 1080P resolution screen despite running snapdragon 888.

It has previously been revealed that Xiaomi will apply a different style of MIUI theme to Redmi line of phones to differentiate itself from the Mi line. The upcoming Redmi K50 series phones are expected to run on Dimensity 7000 chips, and an esports version is expected to run on Dimensity 9000 SoCs.
