Apple is working on its next iPhone SE, due out in 2022, and new rumors from display analyst Ross Young suggest apple will call the device the “iPhone SE Plus,” even though it won’t have a larger display.
Ross Young said the upcoming iPhone SE Plus will have the same 4.7-inch LCD display as the current version of the iPhone SE 2, which itself is the size of the previous iPhone 8 display.
The upcoming iPhone SE will also support 5G, so the “Plus” name may refer to faster connections rather than Apple’s traditional larger screen size.
Aside from the 4.7-inch display size and 5G connectivity, the new iPhone SE series will not change much in appearance, so the highlight of the iPhone SE Plus may be 5G support and a more powerful A15 chip.
