On the evening of Sept 27, digital bloggers reported that Huawei smart Life App has launched a Sound SE smart speaker, which is said to be available by the end of this month.
Back in November 2019, Huawei introduced its first Sound X smart speaker, designed in collaboration with Divallee and inspired by Vienna’s Golden Hall of Music, priced at 1,999 yuan, $312.
In July, Huawei released the next generation Sound X, the first HarmonyOS 2 smart speaker from Huawei, priced at 2,199 yuan, $343.
The new huawei Sound X features 360° all-metal Sound outlet and 3D curved joint-less technology. With a thickness of 0.8mm, the Sound X has an improved Sound pressure level of 3dB in critical bands from 8 to 12kHz compared to the previous generation of plastic mesh + mesh (2.5mm thick), and is more transparent at higher frequencies.
The new Sound X is also the first of its kind to feature a lighting design. It features 48 full-color LED lights that surround the body 360°, allowing light and shadow to follow the rhythm of music.
Based on the name, the SE should be positioned a bit lower than the Sound X, and the price will naturally be cheaper, perhaps no more than a thousand dollars.
