Huawei has launched a new smartwatch, the Huawei Watch Fit New. Despite adding the word “new” to its name, the watch is nearly identical to the last year’s model, but that comes with some interesting news, especially at the software level.
It is a watch with a quite characteristic elongated design, which is also available in different colors so that each user can choose one with which they think it fits, although having interchangeable straps, anyone can change them for other compatible ones.
The Huawei Watch Fit has changed little from last year, retaining some essentials like its 1.64-inch AMOLED screen at a 280 x 456-pixel resolution that makes it look pretty good. Inside, the Huawei Watch Fit New has sensors that will help collect information about your health, such as the heart rate monitor or oximeter it has, as well as the GPS with which it will be able to geolocate you when you go out to exercise.
On the other hand, the Huawei Watch Fit New has an estimated autonomy of around 10 days, so, according to Huawei, you can go more than a week without having to charge it. The company has added 97 sports modes that will allow you to record your activity in great detail.
Its design is quite characteristic since it mounts a slightly elongated screen that allows you to see more elements and have more separated controls. At the software level, it has the usual functions of a smartwatch such as checking the time, controlling the multimedia playback of the mobile, and even paying with its NFC chip.
The Huawei Watch Fit New has been presented only in China in orange, beige, light blue, and black and it went on sale with the same price tag as the previous model 799 yuan (around $123). At the moment, it has not yet been announced whether the Huawei Watch Fit New will be sold in other regions.
