This week, on Wednesday, an event organized by Microsoft and dedicated to the news of its hardware catalog will be staged: among these, there will almost certainly be Surface Pro 8, the subject of a new indiscretion over the weekend that substantially reveals every detail of the device.
The Surface Pro 8 will hide an 11th generation Intel Core processor under the body, will integrate a 13-inch display with 120 Hz refresh rate and narrower edges (the diagonal of the predecessor stops at 12.3 inches), two Thunderbolt ports (no USB Type-A, only Type-C) and replaceable SSD drives as already seen on Surface Laptop 4, Surface Pro X and on the business incarnation of Surface Pro 7 Plus, thus satisfying a need expressed by users.
In the tweet above there is also an image of the Surface Pro 8 with its renewed design. On the software side, the operating system pre-installed at launch will obviously be the new Windows 11, also available later in the form of an update for the models of previous generations based on Windows 10, as long as they meet the requests made by Microsoft in terms of hardware requirements.
We will know more on the occasion of the event on 22 September, during which Surface Go 3, Surface Book 4, the upgrade of Surface Pro X and the successor of the Surface Duo dual-screen smartphone with Android.
