Microsoft released the Surface Duo last year. Now, the company is expected to unveil its successor soon, called Surface Duo 2 and recent rumors say that it will be released in October. Now, before the launch, Surface Duo 2 is available on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, so a few key configuration parameters have been confirmed. The device will use Snapdragon 888 chip and run on the Android 11 platform.
In the results of Geekbench 5, we can see that the device achieved 1071 points in single-core performance and 3166 points in the multi-core performance test. In addition to the Snapdragon 888 chip and running Android 11, Geekbench also shows that the device has 8GB of RAM.
Previously leaked reports said that Surface Duo 2 will have a set of three rear cameras, including a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and the main camera. In addition, sources also say that Microsoft is planning to optimize the launcher for this upcoming device.
The upcoming Surface Duo 2 is expected to have the same design as the previous Surface Duo, except for improved performance and cameras. Some rumors even suggest that this device will support 5G and NFC. Currently, the launch date of new Surface products has not been confirmed by Microsoft, but it is expected that that time will come in September or October.
