Samsung is set to unveil a series of new foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. As the Unpacked presentation is fast approaching, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has made a remarkable appearance in the Geekbench database, report our colleagues at SamMobile. This is the very first foldable smartphone benchmark we have.
According to the information disclosed by the Geekbench listing, we can see that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G carries the model number SM-F711U. The device will include a Snapdragon 888 SoC and 8GB of RAM according to the benchmark list. Software-wise, the smartphone will immediately run Android 11.
In the benchmark results, the phone managed to score 1015 and 3161 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. And these are just the details we can glean from the preliminary benchmark result at the moment.
If we consider the Galaxy Z Flip 3 specifications of the previous leak, the phone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch display. As for the optics, the phone is said to have a 12MP + 12MP camera on the back. The phone is expected to launch in black, purple, olive green, and white color options.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G was spotted prior to SafetyKorea certification. The SafetyKorea listing had revealed that the phone will contain a 2300mAh battery. The device was subsequently granted a green signal by the 3C Certification authority in China. The 3C certification had revealed that the phone will support 15W fast charging.
As of now, Samsung has yet to reveal the official launch date of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. Samsung is rumored to be planning to launch these phones on August 11th. We should know more details about these devices as their launch approaches.
