Rumors about the iPhone 13 abound: in early June we’ve already seen signs of battery improvements for the next Apple cell phone and today we have new good possibilities about it: the first one is about MagSafe, which should have some interesting improvements in the next generation, including stronger magnets and more.
The new information about MagSafe charging on iPhone 13 comes from a video created by YouTube’s EverythingApplePro channel in partnership with leaker Max Weinbach, where it is mentioned that these iPhone wireless charging should have stronger magnets and a larger charging area, which can also bring greater speed to fill the battery.
It’s also speculated that the new larger coil could bring wireless reverse charging to the cell phone, allowing you to recharge AirPods if you’re away from a charger. According to Bloomberg, this same function could also reach the next iPad Pro.
The reason for the addition of reverse charging may be related to the general increase in battery capacity of the iPhone 13 series. According to the Chinese leakster “Digital Chat Station”, the high-end iPhone 13 Pro Max will feature a 4352mAh battery, which is a notable jump from the current iPhone 12 Pro Max’s 3687mAh battery.
Similarly, the iPhone 13 and the 13 Pro will house an identical 3095mAh battery, which is higher than the 2815mAh battery from the previous generation. The smallest lineup of the model, the iPhone 13 mini, will also feature a larger 2406mAh battery capacity compared to the 2227mAh battery pack of the iPhone 12 mini.
Finally, Max Weinbach also says the iPhone 13 should have a new portrait video recording mode, with dynamic blur, a function that’s already available in FaceTime and other Snapchat apps. The new iPhone models should be released in September or October by Apple, so be sure to follow all the news about them on igeekphone.
