Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to debut in the second half of the year. In addition to improvements in performance and foldable screen technology, Galaxy Z Fold 3 will also feature an under-screen camera and an under-screen forward view on the large internal screen.
It’s worth noting that, according to some sources, Xiaomi’s next-generation fold-screen flagship, the Mix Fold 2 (working name), currently scheduled for release in Q4, will also include an off-screen camera on the big screen for video calling and selfies on the internal big screen.
This is much more convenient than previous fold-out phones that only use the outside screen and the rear camera for video calls, and the experience is much better when talking on the big screen.
Additionally, sources say the Mix Fold2 will continue to use the external FOLD screen. In addition to the downscreen proactive upgrade, Xiaomi has upgraded both the internal and external screens to a high refresh, making up for the current Mix Fold2’s biggest screen sore point.
As for specs, the source says the Mix Fold2 will continue to feature a Snapdragon 888 processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and a super-fast silicon oxide negative battery. The “silicon for lithium” battery will deliver 10 times the capacity of graphite. The rear main camera will be 108MP, and the liquid lens will also be available.

In terms of parameters, the performance hardware upgrade of the Mix Fold 2 is small compared to the current version. It only makes up for the lack of a high screen brush and the introduction of an under-screen camera, but for a device with a large screen, it brings a more significant experience improvement than performance.
