Following the Hammerhead True Wireless X, Razer has introduced another new product – the Opus X wireless full-size headphones, which are aimed primarily at gamers and support a special low latency mode. In addition, the Razar Opus X uses Active Noise Cancellation technology.
All about the Razer Opus X
The new Razar Opus X is a more affordable version of the original Opus. They are designed with a padded leatherette headband and swivel ear cups with leatherette ear cushions to ensure comfort.
To deliver very powerful and immersive audio, Razer has equipped them with huge custom 40mm drivers. They also have internal microphones that pick up our voice clearly for voice calls, of which Razer claims that those on the other end of the call or voice chat in the middle of a game can hear us with “perfect clarity.”
A great feature of the Razer Opus X is the active noise cancellation (ANC), which will greatly increase the immersion in games and enjoying multimedia content. There is also a feature called “ Quick Attention Mode, ” which allows outside sound to enter when activated. This is useful when you are outdoors or we need to be aware of what is going on around us.
Another perfect function for gaming is the low latency mode. As said at the beginning, these headphones are intended for mobile devices, since the company has its line of headphones for video game consoles. The low latency mode reduces it to 60ms, making this ideal for playing on our phone or tablet.
Talking about its autonomy, the Opus X offers a battery life of up to 30 hours with ANC. This duration is extended to 40 hours with the ANC function disabled. The headphones charge through a USB-C port and connect to other devices via Bluetooth 5.0.
On one side are the volume control buttons, the power button, the multi-function button and the LED indicator. The power button also functions as a toggle button for both ANC and Quick Attention Mode.
Price and availability
The Razar Opus X is available for a price of $99 through the official website of Razer and Amazon. To top it off, they are offered in three colors: Mercury, Quartz, and Green.
