In the early morning of April 21, Apple held a special event with the theme of “Spring is here”, which was streamed live online. At this spring event, Apple refreshed its iPad lineup, introducing products like the new iPad Pro. The 2021 iPad Pro comes with major performance and screen upgrades.
The new iPad Pro is powered by Apple’s own M1 chip, which takes the iPad Pro to a whole new level of performance, increasing CPU power by 75 times and GPU performance by 1,500 times compared to the original iPad. With the M1, the iPad Pro is faster than any other iPad in the world, and more efficient than any other, so it’s a neat blend of power and portability that allows it to stay thin and light while still delivering all-day battery life.
This time, the new iPad Pro has 5G cellular connectivity, downloading speeds up to 3.5Gbps, and users can use it directly outdoors for live streaming or on-line meetings, all the while being productive. At the same time, the new iPad Pro can support up to 2TB super flash memory, using USB-C physical interface, supporting Thunder 4 Type-C interface, it can achieve super fast storage.
The new iPad Pro is available in 12.9-inch and 11-inch versions. The 12.9-inch version features a Liquid Retina XDR screen (Mini-LED) that offers better brightness, with a full screen brightness of 1,000 nits and a peak brightness of 1,600 nit. With a contrast ratio of 100,000 to 1, the screen provides vivid detail. At the same time, advanced display technologies such as P3 wide gamut, raw color display and PROMOTION adaptive refresh rate are also available.

On the price front, the 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 and the 12.9-inch version starts at $1,099. The new iPad Pro has gone on sale in China, starting at Rmb6,199, with orders starting on April 30 and going on sale in mid-to-late May.
