RealMe 8 and RealMe 8 Pro, the successors to last year’s RealMe 7 and RealMe 7 Pro, were officially launched in India yesterday.
RealMe 8 Pro will cost Rs 17,999 for the 6GB+128GB model and Rs 19,999 for the 8GB+128GB model in India. The phone will be available in Infinity Blue, Infinity Black and Magic Yellow. RealMe 8 Pro will be available for the first time on March 25 and will be available on Realme.com, Flipkart and in offline stores.
RealMe 8 will be available in India for Rs 14,999 for the 4GB+128GB model, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB+128GB model and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB+128GB model. It will be available in Internet Silver and Internet Black. Realme 8 will be available for first sale on March 25.
RealMe 8 Pro features a 6.4-inch FHD+AMOLED display with a 90.8% screen size, 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 180Hz touch sampling rate and a maximum brightness of 1000nits. The display also supports DC-like dimming, which is billed as an eye protection mode to reduce eye strain. With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, an Adreno 618 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage, which can be further expandable, it is the first phone to run RealMe UI 2.0 based on Android 11 right out of the box. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data synchronization.
RealMe 8 Pro comes with a 4500mAh battery that supports a 50W quick charge, but the company comes with a 65W adapter in the box. In terms of cameras, RealMe 8 Pro has a four-camera configuration on the back, with a 108-megapixel (f/1.88 aperture) Samsung HM2 main sensor, supporting for PDAF and 6P lens, 8-megapixel (f/2.25 aperture) ultra-wide lens with 119 degrees of field of view, 2-megapixel macro lens and 2-megapixel black-and-white lens.
RealMe 8 Pro camera supports starry mode, tilt-shift axis, dynamic blur, panorama, super night view, neon portrait, super 108 megapixel mode, chromaticity enhancement, and more. The phone can record 4K 30fps video and 1080P 120fps slow-motion video. The front features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 camera for selfies and video chats. The size of the machine is 160.6×73.9×8.1 mm, and the weight is 176 grams.
