The new members of the Xiaomi Mi 11 series will be presented on March 29 globally. Among the new expected devices are the Mi 11 Pro, the Mi 11 Lite, and the high-end Mi 11 Ultra. The company is dedicating the days before the launch to heat up the atmosphere and, from what we know, the next Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra could earn the title of the phone with the “Android King”.
Last week, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra were certified by the TENAA, and now it became known about the existence of another model. The TENAA confirms that the top version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Emperor Edition will be equipped with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of flash memory.
In addition to the large memory specifications, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra will also be equipped with the industry’s top performance Audio-Technica combination, with an LPDDR5+UFS 3.1 flash memory specifications, and the industry’s top Snapdragon 888 chip. Able to provide strong performance output for this series, it is worthy of the title of “Android King”.
Besides, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi 11 Ultra will sport the new Samsung ISOCELL GN2 image sensor, making it the first phone to do so. This new sensor has been developed jointly by Samsung and Xiaomi, has a size of 1 / 1.12 ″, and, therefore, is the largest sensor that is incorporated into a conventional smartphone.
The GN2 of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has a resolution of 50MP and a large pixel size of 1.4μm, which rises to 2.8μm in 12.5MP after applying 4-in-1 pixel binning. It is also the world’s first sensor to offer Dual Pixel Pro autofocus technology, which compares the upper, lower, left, and right phases for faster and more accurate focusing. Other features are Smart ISO, Enhanced HDR-tiered capture, 8K video recording, and more.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is expected to have other interesting specifications as well, such as a 120x periscope telephoto lens, a large battery with 120W fast charging, a Quad HD + display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and much more. The most interesting addition could be a second screen at the rear that should have use cases such as acting as a viewer for high-quality selfies, notifications, and customizations.
It goes without saying that Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Emperor Edition will be Xiaomi’s most expensive smartphone to date, facing rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the OPPO Find X3 Pro.
