Twelve months after the announcement of the Nokia 8.3 5G, HMD Global is said to have begun developing a successor version of the product later this year. A new report by NokiaPowerUser reveals that the Nokia 8.3 5G replacement device will be equipped with a Snapdragon 775 or Snapdragon 775G chip, both of which will be announced in the near future. Those are the same chips that Google will likely consider equipping the upcoming flagship Pixel 6, so expect the Nokia 8.4 5G or otherwise to be one of the best Android smartphones out there.
Under the body we talk about Snapdragon 775 or Snapdragon 775G, Qualcomm chip still awaiting official release but, always According to NokiaPowerUser, they should be 5-nanometer SoCs with Kryo 6xx CPU, 5G support, and 4K video recording at 60 fps.
There is currently no information about the amount of memory and RAM to be provided on the product but the report says that the large capacity 5000 mAh battery is considered to be the top priority. This will be especially helpful with new screens on the product. According to the report, HMD Global is developing a new 6.5-inch QHD PureDisplay V4 panel for this smartphone with a refresh rate that can be up to 120 Hz and a hole punch for the selfie camera.
Also according to the shared content, the Nokia 8.4 5G will bring a new Penta camera system. In the past, HMD has used a similar setup on the Nokia 9 PureView but has been criticized by critics. This time, to avoid potential complaints, the Nokia 8.4 5G is expected to come with a 108MP main camera.
In addition, this Penta camera system also has a super wide-angle camera, telephoto camera, macro camera, and depth camera. To ensure a great audio experience, OZO Audio technology is also planned. The Nokia 8.4 looks ahead of its competitors in many respects at the point of technical specifications. Of course, the decisive factor here will be the price of the phone.
At the moment there is no information regarding when the phone will launch or its price, but it will most likely be in the second half of 2021, where HMD Global is expected to launch a successor of the Nokia 8.3 5G. Basically, the Nokia G10 could be the Nokia 8.4 5G that many people expected earlier.
