A newly emerged Huawei patent could show how the upcoming Huawei Mate X2 can be folded. The model has already been postponed several times, but Huawei is not giving up its foldable smartphone. It seems that the Chinese manufacturer has come up with something new that will allow the company to get rid of the annoying crease of foldable smartphones, and with it all the problems that the crease creates.
A new patent file that has recently surfaced shows that Huawei is indeed continuing its work on foldable devices. The technology described in the patent shows that the Mate X2 can eliminate one of the most common problems with foldable devices.
Foldable screens, which have a plastic-like structure, deform as they are folded and opened, and a folding mark that disturbs the user is formed in the middle of the screen. Huawei states that the new hinge design it has developed, which will prevent the screens from deformation and prevent folding marks.
It is difficult to predict how much Huawei will realize what it promises, but the leaked information offers remarkable features about the Mate X2. Accordingly, the secondary screen of the Mate X2, which will come with an 8.01 inch 2480×2200 pixel main screen, will offer size of 6.45 inches and a resolution of 2700×1160 pixels. According to rumors, the biggest disappointment with the Mate X2 will be its 4400mAh battery.
It is now assumed that Huawei will introduce a device with similar technology. It will probably be the Huawei Mate X2. The smartphone has already passed the first certifications and a release can now be expected soon.
