In the past few weeks, more and more manufacturers have spoken out and announced a roadmap for the updates to Android 11. Xiaomi wants to supply 28 smartphones with the new OS. But Samsung is also doing its best and is not only bringing flagships but also cheaper smartphones to a new level. Now it’s Motorola’s turn and publishes an updated schedule.
A total of 23 smartphones from different device series that are getting Android 11 are noted. The list is quite long, but the schedule provides for an update “in the next few months” – so for the most part after the start of the Android 12 Preview.

The long update period, which is already creating a lot of leeway with “in the next few months” and is not a good sign, as well as the fact that Motorola is only promising a major update for its devices anyway, are not necessarily positive. Ultimately, of course, this is also evident in the sales figures.
What’s new with Android 11?
Chat bubbles:
The new version of Android introduces as part of its multitasking tools new chat bubbles for messaging applications (similar to those of Facebook Messenger). In this way, it is easier to access conversations while browsing other apps at the same time.
Smart Device Control: 1
Android 11 allows you to access and control all compatible smart devices, such as lights, temperature, or appliances, from one place. To access this admin panel, press and hold the power button.
Access permits:
This Android 11 update adds One- Time Permissions, which are used to grant apps one-time access to sensitive features like microphone, camera, and location. The next time the application needs to use these sensors, it will have to request authorization again.
