Samsung has traditionally been early to give its S20 series an update to the new Android operating system, but Xiaomi does not want to be left behind either. The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are the first phones from the brand to receive their update to Android 11 in India. To recall, the phone was launched in this country with Android 10 in May this year.
The update takes up a total of 2.8GB and the version is ‘MIUI V12.2.2.0.RJBINXM’. With Android 11, the Mi 10 can count on all the novelties that Google has in store for Android users.
For example, Google is bringing a new privacy function, namely the possibility to give an app one-time permission. In addition, there is a new interface for media control in the quick settings and from the power menu, you can quickly operate your smart home devices.
The update can simply be downloaded over the air (OTA). You can also manually check for updates on Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro by tapping ‘About this phone’ and ‘MIUI version’ from the settings. Did you receive the update? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
Xiaomi also recently rolled out the Android 11 update for Redmi Note 9 Pro in India. The smartphone was initially announced with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 and was only recently updated to MIUI 12.
