Xiaomi launched three Redmi Note 9 phones overseas as early as March, followed by three Redmi Note 9 phones in China this past November, and now it looks like the domestic Redmi Note 9 series will be launched overseas under a new name.
According to two listings on Google Play Console, the Mi 10I and Redmi 9 Power are on the way, with the same models as Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 4G, which were just launched in China.
Xiaomi clearly cannot relend Redmi Note 9 4G overseas under the same name, as the model already sells well around the world. The new phone comes with the Power suffix for the simple reason that it’s the first Redmi phone to come with a 6,000mah battery, plus 18W fast charging and 2.5W reverse wired charging.
