Winter is approaching unstoppably and we will slowly have to pull warm clothes out of the closets. Xiaomi already has a heated jacket, however, the company decided not to stop there. Because today a new Supield + winter jacket has appeared on the crowdfunding of Xiaomi Youpin.
It uses S. Kistler’s patented heating technology, which created the world’s thinnest and warmest jacket in 2019. The insulating layer of airgel allows these clothes to keep warm at temperatures down to -196 ℃ – the thermal insulation effect is comparable to a 4 cm thick down jacket.
This material is ultra-thin, extremely cold-resistant, moisture and mildew resistant, and can be washed in a regular machine. The manufacturer claims that the jacket is also easy to clean. At the same time, the clothes do not lose their ability to retain heat even after repeated washings.
In addition, there is a built-in rapid heating system: it takes effect within 10 seconds after switching on and is capable of maintaining a temperature of 30 ℃, 35 ℃, or 40 ℃. The system is powered by a power bank that can be stored in an internal pocket. The power button is located outside: you don’t have to unbutton to turn on the heating.
At the crowdfunding stage, the standard jacket costs 499 yuan (around $76), and the long version costs 599 yuan (around $91). Sizes from M to 5XL, the standard length is available in black, silver, and blue, the extra length is available in black only. This new Xiaomi Supield + winter jacket will go on sale on December 9.
