Xiaomi has just launched a new smart door lock model, called Mijia Smart Door Lock Pro. This is considered an upgraded version of the Mi Smart Door Lock that the company introduced last year. This new Xiaomi Mijia Smart Door Lock Pro is expected to be available from November 12 for 1699 yuan (about $256).
Compared with the previous generation, the new Mijia Smart Door Lock Pro is integrated with a cat-eye doorbell system and a wide-angle camera to ensure comprehensive security for your home.
This camera has Full HD 1080p resolution with an ultra-wide angle up to 161°, automatically detects and alerts when someone stands at the door. More importantly, it also allows for video recording, two-way communication between inside and outside people, as well as a number of other functions.
Xiaomi’s new smart door lock is equipped with a removable 5000mAh polymer battery, replaced with 4 AA batteries. With each full charge, it can provide up to 3 to 4 months of battery life.
This door lock uses a level C locking cylinder and a locking cylinder that goes straight through the lock body. Even if the control panel is damaged, an intruder cannot break the key because there is still a keyhole inside.
As a smart door lock model, Xiaomi Mijia Smart Door Lock Pro allows users to unlock in 7 different ways. Specifically, it supports fingerprint unlock, password, temporary password, Bluetooth, key, NFC, and even Apple HomeKit. Xiaomi says the fingerprint sensor of this door lock is highly sensitive and accurate to 98.7%.
