Huawei and Samsung were the brands that were at the forefront of the march towards foldable smartphones. Samsung took the lead on the final straight, but this does not mean that Huawei did not follow him. Today, a patent for the Huawei 5G foldable phone also has appeared.
According to the information revealed, the company is working on a double-lid design. Huawei’s 5G connectivity supported, dual rear camera phone has a design called a Clamshell just like the Motorola Razr. It is also said to be the lower version of the Mate X.
As we can see, there is a small secondary screen on the back of the phone. The screen-to-body ratio of this secondary screen is also very low.
Although Huawei’s new foldable phone patent is similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip model, it differs in points such as the secondary screen and the rear camera. In fact, Huawei had patented this type of phone again this summer. However, that device’s secondary screen was relatively small.
We said that there is a dual-camera on the back of the phone, in addition to the patent images, there is no other camera. When the phone is turned on, we see a long, notch-less screen. It is stated that Huawei can use an under-screen camera here.
On the left side of the device, there are two buttons that are thought to function as sound on / off, while the power button is on the right. Apart from that, the phone does not have a visible USB-C jack, microphone, or speaker. Let us also say that there is a possibility that this device may not be made real by Huawei, as in every patent report. In other words, this design can only be left between patents that are not implemented.
