Huawei will release its annual flagship Mate 40 series on October 22. In addition to this much-awaited flagship, Huawei’s nova series for young people will also welcome new members. Today, a Weibo user broke the news that the Huawei Nova 8 series is initially scheduled to be released in November.
According to previously leaked information, the Huawei nova 8 series includes two models called Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro, codenamed Jessica and JessicaH respectively. While these Smartphone models are JSC-TN00 and HJC-TN00 respectively.
It uses a 120Hz high refresh rate display for the first time in the Nova series of Huawei. Not only that, the Nova 8 series seems to continue the dual punch-hole screen like Nova 7 Pro. The position of the front dual camera is in the upper left corner of the screen, which is consistent with the position of the Huawei P40 series.
According to an earlier leak, the devices will be based on the MediaTek Dimensity 820 processor, although the Pro version may get the Dimensity 1000+ chip. Base models are supposed to get 90Hz screens, while the Pro version will boast 120Hz screens. The display panels will be supplied by either Visionox or Tianma Microelectronix.
Currently, the specific specifications of this series are still uncertain. It may be equipped with Kirin 9000 series processors or Kirin 990 5G, which is worth looking forward to. The Huawei Nova 8 is expected to start at $485, while the Nova 8 Pro is expected to start at $585. The release date of smartphones on the market has not been announced, but this may happen in the near future.
